Yes, once the transformer is energized you will be on WAPA's grid with the existing switch. When the new
switch is purchased we can schedule an outage to replace it.
On another note, I gave your question about whether the testing of the cable should have identified the fault
some additional thought and I believe it should have if it was there at that time. There is a possibility that the
fault in the cable developed after the test. For example, I wanted them to energize the cable for 24 hours before
adding load and that wasn't done. I am also investigating if the switch without gas could have caused it. With
all that said, the testing of the cable should have found the fault if it was there at that time.

once you energize the transformer back to Wapa grid does that mean we are up and running on WAPA?
will power go on with existing switch and we can replace once up and running?

Yes, it is certain that a new switch is needed and yes I will source.
This morning the guys from Bryan Electric went back up to complete the evaluation. They will get the
material and complete the repairs. Once complete, I will go back over and energize the transformer back to
WAPA's grid.

morning but it was filled with mud and sludge. A sewage truck is to go over and clear the manhole this
afternoon. Tomorrow morning Denny's guys will go back and see what needs to be done to repair/replace
the splice. That is when I will find out if we have enough slack in the cable or if additional cable is
needed.
