You are a hero in Japan — and the documentary hasn't even aired yeti NHK are holding a symposium in December that
they would be honoured if you could attend as a speaker (see below). Given the increasingly strong focus that Japan has
on the Middle East, which Mohammed and I heard about at the recent Japan Cooperation Centre for the Middle East
Forum, it is an opportunity well worth you considering attending. Please do let me know.
Regards

Subject: NHK Symposium
Dear Sarah
It was good to talk to you yesterday. Shuji got back to me with the following info.
The symposium itself is scheduled to take place on Thursday12 December, in Nagoya. They are expecting
about 3000 people (predominantly business persons) in the audience.
If Chairman is happy to participate in this as a guest speaker, we'd ask him to have arrived in Japan by 11
December, and leave on or after 13 December. Travel expenses and accommodation will be provided for by
NHK.

The guest speakers who have so far agreed to attend are:
Dhanin Chearavanont (Chairman of CP Group, Thailand) (NHK are producing a documentary for the same
strand as the one we filmed with your Chairman)
Tsuyoshi Nlinami (CEO of Lawson, Japan's largest chain of convenience stores)
Akio Toyota (CEO, Toyota Motors)
NHK are hoping to hear back from a few more similarly distinguished business persons, and they believe that
this symposium could provide its participating guests a great opportunity to meet each other and exchange
ideas as well.
Apparently (and not surprisingly) NHK producers are collectively having a 'crush' on Chairman, now that they
have seen our documentary. They would love it if he could come and speak, especially because of his precious
ties with Japan.
NHK would be grateful if they could hear back from you by the end of the first week of September.
In the meantime, we'll be keeping our fingers crossed...
Best wishes
Riwa
