After today's inspection of your property, it was noted that you have Ganoderma on (1) Royal Palm in the
front. Ganoderma on Palm Trees is a fatal disease that cannot be cured. The Palm must be removed as soon

as possible because the mushrooms that are the visible sign of Ganoderma attached to the base of the Palm
will spore and travel through the air and attach themselves to other healthy palms infecting them. It is my
recommendation not to replace the Royal Palm in that area because Ganoderma originates in the soil and
we can not guarantee the next replacement Palm wouldn't get it as well. (50% chance. )
We also discovered a hardwood Ganoderma on your front Ficus Hedge. Hardwood Ganoderma is not
necessarily fatal so to discover if it is or not, we recommend a sample be sent off to the Lab or analysis. I
will have Richard Murray Horitcultural consultant contact Louella to handle the lab report and bill you
directly upon your decision to allow this request. Then once we get the results from the lab report for the
Ficus hedge it will determine the next move.
Also you are having some Fungus issues with your Roebellini's and Royal Palm Bug issues and Boron
nutrient issues on some of your Royal Palms. You have a Semi-Annual Deep Root Service but would be
better if these were on a Quarterly service. However in the mean time, your Deep Root Program that you
already have is due in November. I would like permission to move it up to this month (October) to treat
instead of wait till November. Please let me know as soon as possible. I can schedule the Deep Root
program for tomorrow if I have your permission. .
Any questions please give me a call.
