I am happy to help.
It sounds like 2 seperate cancers but must clearly be investigated.
I will reach out to Mount Sinai crowd as well as other oncologists in the city to see who would be the
best in NY.
We are all fixed to the weather channel for the moment

Subject: Patient cancer question...
Hi there Eva!
Sorry to burden you yet again with more cancer related questions.
Boris was asking my advice today about a young and complicated patient who had breast cancer and
treatment , supposed remission but ended up having neuroendocrine cancer now stage 4. They are
having trouble sorting out if the breast was even the primary and if the neuroendocrine is related.
The patient is the wife of one of Bills close staff. Young and recently had a baby, etc...couldnt be a more
desperate situation sigh.
We have decent oncologists here, im just not sure about our breast folks. Good but not great.
Would you mind being in touch with Boris and offering an opinion as to who/where you might
recommend? He's copied on this note.
One of my former residents is a neurooncologist at Stanford and I will reach out to her as well.
With gratitude, melanie
