Eclipse Lacrosse Summer Events Summer Tournaments: We are pleased to announce our summer tournament schedule for 2015. We were invited to many of the top events for this upcoming summer and have chosen our schedule for very specific reasons. Please visit our website to see each team's tournament schedule (Please see the tournament schedule Tab & select the correct team). Please note we did not schedule any teams to play during the 4th of July holiday weekend. Although there are a couple great tournaments that weekend, we believe our players should be with their families. EFTA_R1_00684619 EFTA02089678 Camps: All Eclipse Players will attend a 4-day Curriculum Camp. Our "curriculum camps" this summer will take place prior to our first team tournaments. Our goal is to try to eliminate all conflicts with other lacrosse showcases our players may be attending. Reminder: The main reason we have our camp, clinics, and play-day structure vs 6 weeks of practice is to maximize participation and enable the players to have exposure to all Eclipse Coaches, MLL players, and College players. Being taught the game of lacrosse by multiple coaches in the summer is much better for a player's development (compared to just being coached by only two coaches the entire summer). To get a sense of the caliber of coaching who will be at our camps, please see the list of last year's "guest" coaches on our website. Clinics / Play Days: Before our second and third tournaments, our youth club teams will go through a total of four days of lacrosse instruction focused on fundamental lacrosse development training. Before our third and fourth tournaments, our High School club teams will go through a total of four days of lacrosse instruction focused on fundamental lacrosse development training. Clinic sessions will include fundamental coaching from current MLL, Division I college players, and Eclipse Directors. We are currently in discussions with other club programs to set up "Play Days" to compete as teams in preparation for tournaments. We will NOT send teams to tournaments unprepared. Families looking to schedule summer vacations or other sport camps Eclipse Curriculum Camps, Clinic, and Play-Days, exact dates will most likely come out in January. However, below is a rough draft of our summer logistics. We hope this helps in your family planning. - We will NOT have any lacrosse events from Monday June 29th to Monday July 6th. (if we have several rainouts and need to make up days, we will do our best to leave this week open, HOWEVER, we may use June 29'h and June 30'h as make- up days) - Rough draft of High School Schedule (2016, 2017, 2018) - Curriculum Camp Dates: June 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th - Clinic Days / Play Days: Week of July 13`h —18`h - Rough draft of 2019 Schedule - Curriculum Camp Dates: June 15`h, 16'h, 17th, le - Clinic Days / Play Days: TBA - Rough draft of Youth Schedule (2020, 2021, 2022, 2023) - Curriculum Camp Dates: June r, 9th 10`h, 11th - Clinic Days / Play Days: TBA EFTA_R1_00684620 EFTA02089679 - 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 — No Eclipse Lacrosse events will occur after July 132" (last tournament day). - 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 — No Eclipse Lacrosse event will occur after July 22nd (last tournament date for teams attending the Inside Lacrosse Tournament). - July 11th or July 12th - We will NOT have any High School Eclipse Events (2016, 2017, 2018) — as these are the dates when many of our players from different towns play in the "Annual 7 on 7 — Grip it & Rip it passing tournament in New Canaan". Team Logistics Coaching: We spend a great deal of time assembling our coaching staff. Last year we had over 55 coaches working with our players, many of whom have played at the highest levels. Coaching is the most important ingredient in developing players and Eclipse Lacrosse Club has put an emphasis on the strength of our staff. Our High School Level Club Team coaches can be found on our website. Our youth team coaches will be updated on our website in the coming weeks. Many of our youth coaches will be returning from last year + we will have new coaches. Hotel reservations: We are currently working with different hotel groups on securing the best discounted rates for our teams this summer. We will be sending out this information very soon. Teams going to Long Island will not need hotel rooms for this tournament. All other tournaments will require hotel stays. Uniforms: Our 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020 teams have already ordered uniforms for the summer (you will be wearing the same uniforms you used this fall). As for our 2021, 2022, and 2023 groups, we will be sending you a link to order your uniform. Uniform orders will be managed via our apparel vender Force5 lacrosse. All players will be required to order a pinnie, shorts, and t-shirt for the summer. Estimated cost of uniform = $80.
