I couldn't justify the diversion from Popper, so ruled myself out, then when I saw the
programme decided I wanted to be there, and they squeezed me in, then I came to my senses and
pulled out again.
Michael Wood, who's giving the keynote, is a wonderful guy, intellectually and socially
(haven't I put you in touch with each other?).
Marie Bouchet, who's chairing the next session, is excellent.
Leland de la Durantaye, Fri May 31, in the 11-12 slot, is also first-rate.
