Regarding Santa Fe landing.,
Several reasons we favor using ABQ.,
-First Fuel Price is $1.25 lower in ABQ than SAF.,
ABQ $4.24
SAF $5.25
- Second, Precision approaches to Two Long runways, 13,793ft and. 10,000ft runway.,
-only one precision ILS in SAF and usually doesn't favor wind direction for landing, you have a circling
approach, plus 3000 ft mountains are 8 miles to the West, at night makes challenging,
-ABQ is safer all around than SAF.,
Daytime Santa Fe is not bad, however longest runway is 8366 ft, with .9% slope in one direction, adds to landing
distance, plus high TrueAir speed when you take into account Field Elevation 6348.,
