Funds idea came up because our reserves are down. Maldives haven't done a rating for years and now may not be
the best time to do it. We are currently doing too much short term borrowing at close to 8 percent through
TBills.
Have submitted revenue bills in parliament so we should be able to manage but if we had about 300 m dollars
the sailing would be smoother.
Any thoughts on how to raise some funds for my campaign. We have no restrictions yet so I am getting some
from Gulf countries, enough to get started.
The guy who is coming to help me with campaign planning and logistics is a James Connerly and a Theresa
Wells who have worked in various elections in US.

Sony I haven't written to you for a while. We are now in the process of getting our campaign teams
organized. We were unable to respond to Jim effectively as we didnt have a team in place.
In the meantime, my son and another friend identified a PR person to come down here and help me with
some negative campaigning that has been going around about a girl sentenced with flogging. This story has
been haunting me for the last three weeks but now its under control.
This PR person has a team of three who can work here on the ground to help put the campaign in place. Its

On the political front I am building my support and other politicians are starting to pledge their support. By

moving fast.
