This is so sad - I really can not imagine what he is going through- a friend had that same surgery- which turned out perfectly-
but was face down for 3 months. Hard recovery
I called / went VM. Anything we can do for him?

Having a surgery on my right eye in 3h (6am).
I have a bad retinal detachment on my right eye. It includes macula And it is complete.
I am right now blind in my right eye.
Also I received an injection of lucentis into my left eye and a laser of a small lesion.
I am devastated.
It will be very hard recovery for last 6weeks. I can't travel or read. I must keep my eye down because a gas bubble that
will support my retina.
Sam is here and will take care of me
I do not know how I will talk to you today as I will be out for most of it but you can reach Sam if you have a question.
I hope I will see you again.
