I had a commercial flight at 8:00am...The good news...I got a ride to St. Maartin from Aby Rosen on his plane. Got to Teterboro at 7:30pm for an 8:00pm departure to find out the plane had come back from St. Moritz last night with a broken cover to a landing light resulting in a "broken plane" that could not be used. This was the news the pilot greeted us with at. the crack of dawn. I had pulled an all nighter packing because I got home from the theater (Cat on a Hot Tin Roof) and hob nobing with actors at Bar Centrale at 1:00am. Aby Rosen, Samanatha Boardman, children Vivian and Barker, Dylan Brant son of Peter, Tony Shafrazi, Tiko Magrabi and me...then had a plane party on the disabled plane on the tarmac for 3 hours..as they ate lox and bagels. We are finally moved to a G5 owned by Julian Robertson and flown in from Conn. Had a ball going nowhere. Aby is now just going to invite people to sit on his plane and actually not go anyplace. Then we had an hour ground delay due to weather...and now we have noticed the G5 is smaller than Aby's WB375 with no cappacino maker and only one video screen for my bag of the academy films... and now exhausted from going nowhere I am about to show "Django" to 5 year olds because Samantha doesn't know they yell "nigger" 4,000 times and beat the blacks endlessly. You can see the "ground party" was wearing thin.... We finally landed in St. Maartin five hours late...Aby jumps onto his charter to St. Barths. We have missed all puddle jumpers and Tony, Dylan and I take a boat with all the luggage. What a day....brother sent a letter the accountants are getting me that report on the estate shortly and a check for $25,000??? Will send details of letter in the morning...
