If you have settled in the U.S. As a refugee or you were granted asylum, you can file Form 1.730. Refugee/Asylee Relative Petition with
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). This will allow your spouse and your unmarried children under age 21 to
accompany or join you in the United States in derivative asyleefrefugee status. You have two years from your grant of asylum or
refugee status to apply for this status for these qualifying family members unless this requirement is waived by the U.S. For good
cause.
Note that you must be the principal asylee or refugee in order to file 1.730 for your family member. If you were granted derivative asylee
or refugee status, you are not eligible to file a Form 1.730.
THAT MEANS THAT WE MUST GET MARRIED NOW BEFORE I GOT MY GRANTED ASYLUM, BUT I CAN ADD YOU LATER TO
MY CASE. WE HAVE TWO YEARS FOR THAT. BUT IN THIS CASE I WONT BE ABLE TO APPLY FOR YOUR EMPLOYMENT
AUTHORIZATION CARD.
SO TODAY WE ARE GETTING MARRIED. AND LET'S WAIT UNTIL ONE MONTH IS PASSED (PROBABLY MY ASYLUM WILL BE
GRANTED BY THAT TIME). AND THEN WE CAN GO AND PUT YOU TO MY LIST AS MY WIFE AND THEN I'LL APPLY FOR
YOUR EAD AND TRAVEL DOCUMENT. IF !N ONE MONTH NOTHING HAPPENS, THEN I'LL GO AND WILL PUT YOU TO MY LIST
AND I DO NOT CARE ABOUT TROUBLES OR ANYTHING THAT CAN BE FOR ME. CAUSE THE WORST THING THAT CAN
HAPPEN IS THAT THEY WILL PUT MY CASE TO THE COURT (THOUGH IT'S 0,1PER CENTS FROM 100%).
