I am in Normandy, staying with Venetia Wimborne at her stunning Chateau
Fontaine ('Abbe.
I know that I mentioned some time ago that she was selling it. However, you
should know the price has now dropped significantly to Euros 5M (from an
original asking price of 10).
The difference between this Chateau and most of the others on the market is
that her late husband literally rebuilt it from the ground up in the early '90s. So
all wiring, plumbing, foundations etc (the normal curse of buying an old
property) are in first class condtion. All the bedrooms are en suite and there is
also a lift.
It has one more significant difference in that Venetia has planted the most
beautiful 'English' garden which has now matured to perfection.
It just might be worth you having a look when you are next in France. I would
be more than happy to arrange this for you.
