Greetings from apt (and thank you for that!)
As of yesterday I'm struggling with how to fire somebody; Stanford is making this difficult. In a half hour I'll
interview somebody for the "Major Gifts" development job (I'm taking her to lunch at the "Star," right down the
street... very convenient). Meanwhile, Mike has yet to offer my current job to anybody, and it's ramping up (in
the Fall we review each department, which is a pain).
It looks like we have two people interested in buying our house in Cambridge, but have no place to go to on the
other end. (In fact, I don't even know where I'll rent when I show up in December.) Robin is getting very twitchy.
I'm going out to Stanford on the 19th, to make a presentation to the Board. Either they will love me or hate me;
I've got a clear vision for the future, and it's a huge divergence from the current place. Should be interesting.
I hope you are OK.
