Subject: PR Palm Update

- I am resending this, it was stuck in my outbox, for some reason.
Good Afternoon,
After speaking with Brice about the recent developments reguarding the Puerto Rico Palm
Project, he suggested I send you a quick update.
-As of now The General II is "TENATIVELY"
Scheduled to be in Puerto Rico to Load on Thursday Sept. 23rd. I stress the word
"Tennatively" since I have not been given a Solid date from Boyson, despite my many calls
and emails, so we, the trucking company And the Port are all waiting to hear a solid answer
from them.
- I am suggesting we go to Fajardo, as an alternative to Ponce due to the extreamly high
union fees we will be charged in Ponce, And for the fact that the Palms have a lesser
chance of taking salt spray on the shorter journey from Fajardo to LSJ. This will mean a
longer trip by truck, but a cheaper overall loading cost by avoiding Ponce's standard
Union fees.
- We have made 3 different colored stakes to represent
-Fish Tail (fan tail) palms
- Date Palms
- Coconut Palms
And we have begun Organizing so next week we can begin digging holes to be ready when the
palms come
- The fact that we have to make two, possibly three trips is actually turning out to be a
blessing in disguise since we can plant the trees as they come in, rather than scramble to
Store them, and then get them in the ground.
I will be sending a series of ictures this afternoon, with plant suggestions to satisfy
the requests of Ms.
Also a few pictures and related questions reguarding the relocation of existing plant
material, to make room for the new palms.
Thank You,
Igala Joseph
