Dear Jeffrey
How are you darling? As you probably know I have been having a bit of a bad time. My best friend-brother Lee
McQueen died a week ago and I have not been able to think much on the work front. I have though come across a very
interesting artist that you would like, i think and unless you already know him; you would find his work fascinating. He
is a young Argentinean and he represented the Argentinean Pavilion at the Venice Biennale a few years ago. Please
have a look at the sites I have given you to see a few examples of his work. He could be interesting to commission to
do a site specific project. If you like him I can send you some proper material for you to research. As you told me and
now I'm back, i will get to work looking for young new works and artists as promised.
Tomas Saraceno
Since a few years Tomas Saraceno (born in Tucuman, Argentina 1973) has been working on what the theoretician and architect Vona
Friedman would call a -realizable utopia-. That one of building up natural micro-systems, human communities, self-sufficient urban
settlements, suspended in the sky. These cities would be able to travel with the movements of the clouds, so to overcome the limitations
and conflicts typical of national borders. It is a realizable utopia because it is based upon rigorous scientific premises and the use of
innovative materials...

On a last note I wanted to know what you thought of Paul Fryer, it would be lovely to hear from you. I will call you
next week but email me a 1 liner so I know your thoughts and reactions.
Love
Annabelle
