From: Subject: Report #118: Cast is off! Date: Thu, 14 Jan 2010 18:19:37 +0000 Hallo kids! After a month in my new apt, I've realized that the fan above my stove is only a props! It sucks the air up, but since there's no drum to take it anywhere it just blows it right back! It's freaken Disneyland, I tell ya... It's about +17 C (63F) in the mornings so I use the heater and defrost on my car windows... I'm so Arabic = selfish, "I don't give a shit" attitude. I needed to pay some traffic fines so I found the headquarters and drove up with my car to the security both where you very clearly were NOT supposed to drive up to. A security guard came rushing out to advice me not to drive through the barrier. After all that I needed my passport... Went back to police station to pay my traffic fines. I made some illegal parking in front of the main entrance. As a Western, disabled woman, I felt I had the right. A police man gave me a paper in Arabic and when I opened my mouth to ask what it said he replied: "It's in Arabic, don't worry about it." Yeah, that's what I'm worried about! My cast is off!!! My right leg is weak, but it's so nice to be rid of the crutches and aircast!!! I'm learning to walk again. Some visiting New York colleagues got into it with the hotel they were staying at and needed to change hotel urgently. They wanted to pull my boss out of his cabinet meeting (one the tremendously important meetings Americans are so fond of) to call the hotel. I thought it was freaken April Fool's day! Such a minor problem should not even have reached my ears! Just change hotel! Jeez... It was so ridiculous I told them they should not have let the hotel see their donkey porn... Two colleagues of mine made the fatal mistake of trying to boss me around. It turned out NOT to be the satisfying experience they had thought it would be... Usually people try to boss me around once and never again... Take care! EFTA00764839
