Just a brief update...
After some interesting discussions with them, we added Juergen Schmidhuber, Stan Franklin and
Joscha Bach to the proposal as part-time advisors....
FYI Juergen is the leader of one of the top-ten AI departments in the world

and Stan is also quite well respected in the AI field. Juergen is involved with this project

which is somewhat similar to our proposed CogBot project, but doesn't use any symbolic-AI
methods, only neural-net type methods (which in my view makes it a lot less likely to
succeed, but Juergen's intuition is a little different...).
If you're curious to chat with one or more of these three advisors about the proposal, I
could put you in touch to set up a phone call...
Anyway I have just now sent out the proposal to a few US AI profs at top-name universities,
and I'll forward you their reviews when I obtain them. I suspect they may take a little
while to respond as reading a complex proposal carefully takes a while, and the holidays are
nearing. (I wish I'd gotten the proposal out to them sooner, but I'm glad we went through a
more careful process because I think it made the proposal much stronger as a document, though
it didn't affect the underlying ideas...)
So, we'll keep you posted ;-)
