objectives is for you - the key is (a) to protect you against what might be a remote risk of somebody,
sometime, saying you knew and still paid and didn't condition payment on someone else being
responsible for decision whether to disburse the agreed upon settlement and (b) to convert the
improbability, given your knowledge, of a deposition into a reality - how to achieve them requires some
finesse since BJ is smart, well-regarded, and conceivably may not consider it an issue even if he is put
on notice regarding his client's status
