Subject: Great St.James Project
Good morning Mr. Kahn,
I am ready to move forward with the project.
The cable bid is ready to go out and is attached. The request will go out to Kerite, Okonite, and the Prysmian
Group (Pirelli). I have contact information for Kerite and Okonite and would appreciate if you can share the
contact you mentioned for Pirelli.
The switch and metering specs are ready to go as well. My understanding is that I am to send them to Denny
Bryan and he will get the quotes. I plan on sending them to him tomorrow morning.
Additionally, I did receive your question about the smart meters. Yes, Great St. James, as a matter of fact all
WAPA customers will have smart meters. If you are asking to revisit the question of putting the meter on GSJ, I
don't believe the answer would be any different. WAPA requires accessibility for maintenance by servicemen,
there is an existing WAPA policy that determines the meter locations, and WAPA has policies regarding
technical concerns regarding losses on cables, transformers, etc. With all that said, if your desire is that a
formal request is submitted to WAPA making the request I can prepare the letter.
If you have any questions I am available on
Thanks,
HH
