On March 6, 2018, I transmitted by Federal Express my application for a Temporary Resident Permit on Form
MM 1444, along with a receipt evidencing payment of the application fee, in connection with my plan to visit
Vancouver, BC from April 11, 2018 through April 13, 2018 in order to attend the TED 2018 Conference. My
complete application package is attached for your reference. Federal Express has confirmed delivery of my
application to the Immigration Section of the Consulate General of Canada in Los Angeles, CA on March 7,
2018. To date, I have not received any communication acknowledging receipt of my application or the status of
the same. Because the TED 2018 conference takes place just over two weeks from today, I am emailing you to
respectfully request an update on the status of my application. Please reply by email to my email address.
