I called the Roberta Bright Day Care Center on W. 36th Street to get proof that I taught there, hoping to apply
that time towards my retirement. When I told them I worked there in 1973 or 74, they sounded shocked. They
said there was no way they could get that information for me because those records were stored in a warehouse
in NJ. I wonder why they have a storage facility, if they won't retrieve records from it, but anyway I hung up the
phone Feeling like like a relic. Was it really that long ago? How did the world ever function before computers
and the Internet? Do you remember what year I lived on Ocean Parkway near the boardwalk and worked at that
Center? Max? My next approach will be asking the IRS for copies of my w-2's, should be interesting...
