i guess sort of like everyone in the early days of diabetes testing for hyperglycemia (or hypoglycemia) - sort of the acute way
to test but not as important for management as the glycosylated hemoglobin
i suspect that there could be two things going on - just like in "diabetes" - there could be insulin resistance but also once
cholinergic cells die/dying there will also be less production of insulin receptors just be they are dying/dead
