I'm up and working (and resting) at home spent all day at the office today. The second surgery was scheduled last
week, but the surgeon decided to postpone it a week to give me a chance to come back. Which I have done.
Feeling close to normal, no pain at all. Just some initial difficulty swallowing which he says is a common
reaction to anterior surgery. The second surgery, through the back, is tomorrow.
The good news - if am to believe the post-op X-rays and catscans, and disregard how I felt (and especially how I
looked) - the first operation appears to have been successful. Patrick O'Leary, the surgeon, is highly competent.
The bad news - well, there isn't any unless you want to talk about "the bad days", and I have a few of those
coming up this week, and then, hopefully, I
can get out of medical mode and move on.
Thanks for your support. Max can keep you posted:
Cheers,
JB
