Greetings Chris,
I and Anna spoke with our Customer representatives, Marie Penn and Sam Browne, at the Tropical Shipping
STT office today. We informed them of the condition of the ornamental plants on arrival on LSJ 12/28/17, sent
the photos that Randy took for Anna of the plants, and asked them to open an informal investigation pending
receipt of additional eye-witness information from the grower/shipper and landscaping supervisor (you).
They called the PR office. Per the PR office, the refrigerated container is delivered to the shipper's loading site
set to zero degrees Fahrenheit.
It is the responsibility of the shipper to re-set the container to the desired temperature after loading and prior to
releasing it back to Tropical Shipping. The Bill of Lading stated that the container was to be set by shipper at 75
degrees Fahrenheit. The shipper did not re-set the container to 75 degrees, they left it at zero degrees.
Kind regards, Daphne
