Greetings Sir,
I have prepared the Air Pollution Permit Renewal Application for the Permit to operate your Caterpillar
Standby generators and the Terminal Facility License (TFL) Renewal Application for your Fuel storage and
Fuel station on LSJ.
The Standby generator permits are renewed every 3 years, the TFL license is renewed annually. These permits
will expire on December 31, 2017. The process was started prior to the storms, with the plan to submit the
applications by the end of October. This did not happen.
I completed compiling all of the data and necessary documents last week, and they were sent to Darren, who
has reviewed everything. Darren has some questions that I cannot answer, so he will be speaking with Smiley
and Danny Vicars this week.
Once they meet and all questions are answered and the application is signed, we would like to submit the
applications to DPNR with the payments.
Per the permit parameters, a site visit may be requested. Earlier this year, Mr. Kent Bernier, former
compliance officer for the TFL license requested a site visit. This visit was never formally scheduled, Mr.
Bernier was released from his position shortly after, and a few months later the storms came through.
LSJ is currently operating the Terminal Facility under the 2016 license which automatically rolled over to
2017, pending the 2017 license, which we did apply and pay for in December 2016 as per the permit process.
The permit to operate the standby generators was issued in 2014, and to continue to be in compliance we
would like to file the application for renewal by the end of December before the present permit expires.
May we, once Darren, Smiley and Danny Vicars has discussed, reviewed and finalized all points of the
application, file these permits with the payments?
Respectfully,
Daphne
