MS has Skype. Google rumored to buy what's app (or Facebook). Apple has iMessage.
So no. I didn't know about this one. I can't tell their play other than build a user base.
In general it is tough to arbitrage the phone carriers. You have to ultimately buy minutes-text from them. So
they control your COGS. And every phone has a viber equivalent built in so hard to bypass them.
But this is a great feature since it isn't tracked by carriers. It is more secure.
