I met with Richard Boltz in person with two other engineers to review the proposal along with Brice.
This was made clear you will receive for the ethernet system for the Main House and Ranch Central:
1. a commercial grade ethernet system to improve and expand reception desired from ISP provider to be
chosen.
2. can be managed and programmed remotely for the Main House and Ranch Central.
3. equipment to be used has proven to be reliable and has capacity for the future expansion.
4. sequence of installation will cause the least disruption - will be to replace the existing Cisco router first with
an Adtran router, develop the network (with pole installation at three points) and then intergrate the wifi.
5. lead time from time given to proceed -to acquire equipment on their part - 15 days, afterwards to proceed as
quickly as possible per 3 general steps noted above.
6. can provide long term service agreement based on system installed afterwards.
7. Boltz who was very accommodating did say he will not be able to provide another proposal or scope of work
per the Owner who I met as well, has been told he has too much time in on this already.
8. this is a not to exceed quote, unless something more is desired during install.
Observations:
This vendor has the commercial level of expertise, and experience to create a reliable system with capacity, can
monitor and reprogram remotely, can trouble shoot and service it long term, and add to as desired with the
level of technical expertise in its personnel that will be needed and I would look for for this property vs
residential oriented companies who may be less expensive but at the end of the day often cannot engineer,
deliver, troubleshoot, service properly or add to. Also were very customer service oriented and know the
ranch.
