I am in Mexico and will work out the final details with my team and Larry once I get back to the office on
Monday. Need to work out how many days we will need the aircraft for to facilitate the entertainment system
install and my suspicion is that it may be wise to just get everything done at this one time , including the
shades and the switch at your chair.
Until my meeting on Monday, I do have a concern with trying to power both Bose systems off of existing
115vac power- even though we have identified that the subs (which consume 350watts each) are not 100% "on
demand". "If' we can use existing power (without the need of a new frequency converter), then you would
lose outlets in the cabin. This is not the right way to go and I would much rather find a reconditioned freq
converter to supply the required power outlets in the right hand credenza.
I also need to figure out what we can do about the existing monitor from utc aerospace as the one we need
(high definition with dual video inputs) is from another manufacturer (flight display systems and they have the
unit ready to ship in one week from date of purchase).

Subject: 1085 i's and t's
Eric,
I called Bose Technical support and Custom Solutions Center and have a definite final answer...
EFTA00978931
Unless Custom solutions is doing the installation of the units 535 Series II units will NOT work for the
application we want, it has also been stated that even if they did the custom install using their proprietary
equipment the system still may not function properly. The solution to all of these issues would be to go with
the now discontinued model V35, according to the Bose Custom solutions team the V35 is designed for
exactly what we are looking to do (normally in 2 separate rooms) with having 2 zones playing independently
or in sync.
V35 specs are nearly identical to the 535, the unit uses the same speakers and Acustimass module, the only
major difference between the two is the software functionality. The V35 uses "BOSE Link" technology to
make a hardwire link between consoles where the 535 will use the new wireless module due out in mid?
2014, I was unable to secure a real answer. Using the V35's would still require the same remote unit (PMC
III) in order to properly operate both of these units.
I have also took the liberty of contacting Justin at the riverhead location and he was able to track down 2
factory certified V35 units and is having them shipped to the riverhead location. He will hold these units off
the floor until Tuesday the 31'.
-Fwd monitor will be changed to HD type.
The forward monitor will be changed to a HD unit of a 17" wide screen platform. (to be chosen)
-Fwd monitor will have Fwd facing camera displayed in HD.
-Fwd monitor will have airshow displayed.
The forward monitor will have both the High Resolution (not HD) camera and the Standard Definition Airshow
displayed in HD. The ability to switch back and forth between the two video sources will remain on the VIP switch
panel.
Credenza will have carry on 32" monitor
-input- APPLE TV Jail-Broken to display all movies on IPAD regardless of internet connection
-Blue-Ray Player for carry on Monitor.
The inputs for the carry on 32" monitor would be:
- Apple TV2 Version 5.2 "untethered"
- A HD Blu-ray player (also plays DVD's CD's and MP3's)
Two Bose systems, one for fwd listening of VIP Music
-Dock at VIP seat to include Headphone wire to play music thru Bose system.
EFTA00978932
The current Docking station at the VIP will remain and will be plugged into the Bose unit. Using this method will
not allow you to use the Bose remote to control what your iPhone plays, all selections would have to be made on the
iPhone itself. There is currently no provision for an iPad dock in the aircraft, Even so any iPad with a lightning
connector cannot play video/pictures through hardwire. This task should be done through the Apple TV for streaming.
-Bose systems will be able to play music via FWD system and Credenza speaker system at the same time, to fill the
cabin?
Yes, by utilizing 2 V35 units linked together and a PMC III (Personal Music Center 3) remote control, the units
can operated in sync with each other, or if desired separately. If clone separately remo',es ,,‘,roulci nave be
usec.
n* how will you incorporate the Headphone jacks at each seat location for music at each seat?, will the wireless
headphones still operate?
The Headphone Jacks will not be incorporated into the Bose system on any level. Bose systems do not have
conventional Audio out, they only use their proprietary equipment "BOSE-LINK" to send audio from one Bose unit to
another not to any other sources.
The original headphone system also would require an audio input from each audio source to be able to function
independently of the Bose stereo.
