Brice G.;
As requested, a technical memorandum is attached documenting rehabilitation and testing of Zorro Ranch Well
6. We find that Well 6 is capable of sustaining pumping of 15 gpm for around 10 hours per day. Pumping in
excess of 20 gpm causes drawdown that may dewater the primary productive zone at 172 feet deep and cause
water level to fall to the pump inlet.
The well is projected to produce 10 acre feet per year for several years. However, water level declines caused
by the well's own pumping and by other wells in the region eventually will cause Well 6 capacity to decline. I
recommend the well be equipped with a 15-gpm pump controlled with a variable speed drive and water-level
sensors to control the pumping rate and prevent drawdown into the pump inlet.
Please call with any questions you may have, or if you wish to discuss this information in further detail.
