just spoke with and she is meeting with christies CEO at 10:15am today
she said she will work to get 20mm guarantee but may need a few days but can do enhanced hammer of 110 with
no slide down to 107 as originally proposed to begin at 20mm GBP
sothebys hammer was 108 constant throughout

I want to help improve Christie's terms for your Giacometti. As I was not involved with the initial deal
Christie's presented, I wish to be given the opportunity to come back to you with a better offer.
Thank you for asking Rich to contact me when you initially decided to sell your Giacometti with
Christie's. I will be transparent in sharing that your decision not to sell with us and not give us the
opportunity to counter has now put me in a very difficult position. I understand it is a higher guarantee than
what Christie's previously presented so I understand why you kept the door open for them. I would
appreciate the same consideration.
Thus far, what I have been directly involved in on your behalf, I deliver. You asked for a guarantee on the
Braque and I got one and believe we will sell well for you on May 15. If you want one for the Giacometti,
I would like the opportunity to try to secure one, this week, that meets your approval and if we cannot then
they win fair and square. Thank you again for your consideration.
