You have the option of paying the balance shown in the notice we received last Friday.
The interest calculation is through Friday, May 5th . The payment of 360,329.91 would be sent to the
attention of the agent ...Ms. M. Mclaurin at the address shown in the letter.
The letter entitled "notice of computational adjustment" indicates in the middle
of the bottom paragraph that "you may choose to pay the amount shown on the form
4549-A, as interest will continue to accrue on any unpaid balance" Therefore I would
recommend that payment of $360,329.91 be made now.... which includes interest to May 5th.
If you wait, the IRS will send an actual bill with additional interest. It may take a few weeks.
I will write a brief confirmatory letter. Will fax this a.m.

Barry- jeffrey suggests tom draft a short confirmatory letter to agent vs a call. Also, torn I was under the
impression we rec-d a "notice" from the irs, not a bill so there is nothing to pay at this moment, ie, bill comes in
a couple of weeks? Is that incorrect?
