Mr. Veny Marti of Martex Farms on PR can provide the 60 coconut palms that you are requesting.
The price per palm is $195.00, which includes the phyto-certificate. Each palm is approximately 18 to 20 feet
clear trunk, 20 to 25 feet overall height.
The farm is currently flooded due to the ongoing rains but, if weather permits, and you wish to send down
Chris the week after Thanksgiving to meet, review and tag trees with Veny, Veny could pick him up from the
airport and transport him to the farm. Veny is available any day except Thursday, 12/1.
I have requested a flat shipping rate from Tropical Shipping; this rate would include delivery of the flat racks
to the farm, transport of the loaded racks to the San Juan port, and shipping from PR to STT. Veny estimates
that 10 to 12 palms can be loaded on each rack, so 5-6 would be required.
Mr. Hedrington of the General barge should also be submitting a proposal to charter his barge to PR to collect
and ship the palms to you.
