The charges, good news to groups representing the pensioners, also worried some of them. While the British government has
pledged 2.5 million pounds toward filling the empty pension coffers, there is little prospect of much more money coming their
way.
"We don't want to be told by the government that because this is now under litigation, our claim for compensation is going to be
put off," one pensioner told the BBC.
