The surgeons office sent me a breakdown that said the procedures I am havin= and then added in a possible other one.
It has
1st TMT=fusion
Modified Mc Bride
(Possibly) 2nd Metatarsal Ost=otomy.
I phoned them and they asked them and they said that he=has the 2nd metatarsal osteotomy down as a possibility and
will consult wi=h me beforehand. THis is because my second metatarsal is a bit too long an= I have pain underneath it.
When I had my second consultation with him he =id mention that he thinks I will get relief under the second toe from
the =st TMT fusion and the me bride as I will once again be able to put pressur= on the ball of my big toe. And...l can
always have the second metatarsal =steotomy at a later stage if I havent got enough relief. On the other hand=..l am
already undergoing the surgery and will have to stay off the foot s= maybe it is better to get it done at once...
Difficult to say I suppose but needed you to know befor= I go in case you have a strong feeling towards one way or the
other =div>
I am going to phone him again tomorrow to find out if h= is only going to decide this once he has opened up my foot?
