I am sincerely and very very sorry that you thi=k that I was un-polite when we last met. I asked
the question to show my i=terest for Reid Hoffman and his background — NOT to be shameless, =old, and with no other
intention than to show him that I was interested. l=felt that it was too egoistic of me to sit there and only speak about
my t=ip to and myself. May I kindly ask, in this particular situation;=what would you have advised me to talk
about? What questions would have be=n fine to ask? I must note, however, that it was such a privilege to meet =ou
again and Reid Hoffman that morning.
I went to th= 8th of December as planned but a problem arose. I had, prior to departure=
had meetings with the person responsible for visas at M. I had been=told that all my papers were in order. However, I
had not been advised tha= I needed an American social security number to work for them (I have been=able to use my
one for five years). MI acknowledge that it wa= not my fault (as I had made sure that I fulfilled their
requirements) but=that I could not start to work until I have an American social security nu=ber. As it takes about 2 - 6
weeks to get one, I had to return home to (as it is too expensive to be in NY without a salary). I will ret=rn to
NYC again after Christmas (probable before New Years Eve). Last week=l got another possibility from an investor in NYC.
Jeffrey; I ca=not enough articulate how sorry I am that my behavior came across as un-po=ite.
