Guy William Molnar is a Visiting Assistant Professor of
Performance and a Designated Linklater Teacher teaching acting and
voice in the FSU School of Theatre. For FSU he directed The Mystery
ofEdwin Drood and also appeared onstage as Larkin in Six Degrees
ofSeparation and Judge Turpin in Sweeney Todd. He will direct both
Dracula and The Secret Garden at TLT this season. An actor,
director, and musician, he has performed and/or directed at Riverside
Shakespeare, The Shakespeare Theatre in Washington DC, the
Arizona Theatre Company, Michigan Ensemble Theatre, and the Utah
Shakespearean Festival, among others. Favorite roles have included
Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing, Caius Lucius in Cymbeline,
Leontes in The Winter's Tale, The Sergeant of Police in The Pirates
ofPenzance, The Duke/Dr. Carrasco in Man ofLa Mancha, John
Barrymore in / Hate Hamlet, and Richard in Two Pianos/Four Hands.
Favorite directing experiences include Drood, Les Liaisons
Dangereuses, The Sound ofMusk, Twelfth Night, Romeo and Juliet,
and Grease.
GUY WILLIAM MOLNAR
Guy William Molnar has taught voice and acting at Interlochen, North Carolina School of
the Arts, the Webster Conservatory of Theatre in Saint Louis, and the Florida
State University School of Theatre where he is currently Visiting Assistant
Professor of Performance. He has acted and/or directed with The Shakespeare
Theatre Company in Washington DC, Utah Shakespearean Festival, Michigan
Ensemble Theatre, the Arizona Theatre Company, Riverside Shakespeare, and
others. He is a singer and pianist as well as an actor and director, holding a Master
of Music degree as well as an MFA in acting.
