Jacob is fine — he is just studying this week and next. He has an interview with Oxford this
week and an exam for Columbia on the 15th.
We dropped the Brazilian deal on YOUR advice after you told me at the island not to
waste effort on a $1.5 million investment. I am seeing the team in Rio on
Thursday, but we officially passed. And as for the process, honestly I am dealing
with this every single day. After several weeks of discussions with you, it is now
Solina's turn and we sent back a final draft last night to her lawyers for sign off.
The Kuoks and Jacob's family don't care — we just have to make sure it is OK with
you and Solina. If we have yes from her tomorrow as hoped, we will send out
execution copies.
I accept that we underestimated the complexity of juggling these different moving parts
but we've done our best.
And believe me, we appreciate there is a lot going on !! Path and Jawbone need to close
by the end of next week otherwise we will be excluded.
Just back from dinner with the Prime Minister. His team still want to come and visit you &
Woody in Paris.... I will call you in a short while.
And I can still come to NY on Sunday or Monday as discussed.

jacobs program is real and tough, . i emailed him again, and again, no response. ? the
brazilian deal was to close feb 10th ? then a few days later. . ? after waiting for
two months for the acceptable name, and then middle of the night calls with
slaughter and may, youve gone dark again, is there a problem. there is so much
going on. and you should participate.
