Interesting that I the first operation appears to have been very beneficial - my
right art is coming back and I can do things now I couldn't do before surgery
(like hang up an overcoat, grab a quart of milk, drink a cup of coffee with just
the right hand). And being in between surgeries the O'Leary told me not to work
out, so it's all about the nerves coming back which was the goal.
This is very good news.
How do I feel? The neck and area of surgery is pain free and fine. But I feel in
general undefined lousy (very tired at end of day, unable to sleep through the
night, no appetite) which I am coming to learn from you and others is the most
likely due to the effects of anesthesia. One month per every hour under.
Also, having to deal with the up in the air state 2nd surgery is unnerving. Went
to see my own internist (who is a cardiologist) who says my heart is fine. Going
to the surgeon, O'Leary, on Monday to see what he wants to do. My internist
suggests I take thenew reports, vatscan, x-ray, and MRI, and send it to the
Munich surgeon for his opinion. He had originally said do one operation, wait and
see because it may take care of the problem.
