In this deal there was no difference from where money is coming as Marissa and Zack know me
(and Bill) well.
The issue with money coming from Bill for this deal is that a timing could not be worse- Larry
traveling on his honey moon, Bill just started raveling for few weeks, people )including BGI)
out of the office.
You told me to go out and find a deal and that money would not a problem. This could not be a
simpler and smaller deal. And I was counting on you.
It was very important for me to get this deal done because of several important reasons.
And it would be a big problem for me that I could not pull this deal - I might move out of
Silicon Valley immediately (Marissa and Zak know everyone in the Valley).
Nevertheless, it is great that BGI jumped in as well as that I even had other people offering to
come instead for a whole deal (David Schwartz, Nicolas etc).
Please do not get me wrong - I am EXTREMELY grateful for everything you have done - and
this will never change regardless how much you can or can't help going forward.
