The Los Angeles-based nonprofit WordTheatre returns to the East Coast,
with the actors Carla Gugino (Political Animals, Watchmen) and Samantha
Mathis (Dome, American Psycho) reading stories involving dogs by
Pulitzer Prize nominee and New York Times best selling author Joyce
Carol Oates and Guggenheim Fellow Amy Hempel, both of whom will be
on hand to discuss their work and answer questions. Bill Henderson,
founder of the Pushcart Prize, and the author of "All My Dogs: A Life," is
the moderator.
