With regard to amplification, Class "A" and Class "B" amplifiers are not applicable to car audio.
The "Class A./6" are normally the "entry level" amplifiers for car audio and are not efficient.
The "Class D" are the high end amplifiers in car audio and are more efficient.
As available aircraft power was taken into consideration, the amplifiers selected were the best option.
