Bill, I was shocked to receive the e-mail today. I truly believed that you would find a way out. I
have done nothing wrong. I will try to adjust my schedule to return to Seatle for a wed morning
meeting. However I am not, today and will not so soon on wednesday be in a postiion to agree
a solution and transition I know Larry wants a quick announcment. This needs a great deal of
thought creativity and careful execution. It will greatly affect the rest of my life. as i know it has
affected yours. I am sorry for us. I would sincerely appreciate it if you could spend 30 minutes
on the phone, prior to our meeting ,with Jeffrey so that we may benefit from his advice. and
hopefully some new suggestions. I don't know what the next steps should be, or parameters I
need to operate under. What are the restrictions moving forward. contact.? realtionship.? what
do you suggest I tell people. Could we have Jeffrey on the phone on wed. what was larry told? I
trust you !!. you are my closest friend. What do you suggest. ?
