Subject Slideshow - Chicago Builds: 10/29 - 11/10
Dear Friends of The Kitchen [Community]:
See the link to a slideshow our Chicago Community Outreach coordinator made during the fall
builds in Chicago.

We have amazingly been able to do 8 installs in just the past two weeks (there will be one more
on Monday!). Thank you to CPS and the Mayor's office for helping us get these builds scheduled
after the strike. And thank you to the folks among you that helped us fund these Learning
Gardens at such late notice.
These builds show that the growing and install season is a lot longer than we expected in Chicago.
Last week Mayor Emanuel came out to a Learning Garden install and planted garlic with the
children. His visit is captured in the slideshow.
All of this while we were installing another 23 Learning Gardens this fall in Colorado and Los
Angeles. It has been an amazing fall.
All the best and have a great Thanksgiving!
Kimbal and the team.
