Subject: Bentley repair $
Jeffrey
I spoke to service writer Tony at Bentley repair,. it appears car impacted pot holes in NYC and bent the rims.
Tony thinks they can be repaired and balanced properly for $1,400 as oppose to replacement of rims for
$4,684.00 ( choice?)
-Tony also quoted an inflated routine service for $2,500 which is not due to December and consists of simple oil
change, wiper blades, transmission service, brake fuild flush and other small items. I recommend delaying this
service and going else where for a simple oil change, the transmission service in my opinion only creates
problems when they start digging into that area,. the car has low mileage and Tony agrees to wait for service till
after first of the year,. I would take the car else where for oil change anyhow, somewhere outside of NYC..I will
get in touch with Bruce Whitman for a good Bentley shop,.
-The suspension items are real according to Tony, and you should notice a definite improvement on ride
characteristics, a lot of leaks from power steering rack, which utilizes the same fluid as accumulators for rear
suspension. Control arm bushings are tom, Gas springs are worm and only $824 for new ones,.
so if you are in agreement with my recommendations:
-repair rims, and see if they can get a good balance,
-hold on oil change for $2,500.00
-approve all suspension work,.
Total for repair would be: $14,563.66 plus tax
our gamble would be the rim repair only,.
do you approve?
thank you,
Larry
