Please can you comment on this in some details — difference between a field of interest fund and
DAF. Pro and cons.
It reads below and in the rest of message that there is no (or super small) difference between a
field of interest fund and DAF.
Interestingly, the Giving Fund for Global Health, though it falls within the DAF spectrum, is a
field of interest fund. With this type of fund, donors accept that they are turning over their
advising authority to some other entity—in this case a small advisory committee with one
foundation and one JP Morgan staff member. As such, we will structure the fund so that it rapidly
disburses the money it takes in, and so that 100% of the capital that goes into the fund will be
allocated to our priority issues.
If you can by tmr 4pm EST.
Always great talking to you!!!
