Subject: GIV thoughts
Jeffrey,.
Here are my personal thoughts on aircraft:
my wish list and first choice is a GV for all the obvious reasons, max altitude of 51,000ft, lower cabin altitude of
4500 feet at 45,000, (compared to 6,000 feet in GIV). longer range, longer cabin,. I just don't know if the price
increase justifies 5 to 8M more than a GIV or GIVSP.
I still feel the GIV is a good aircraft, as long as we purchased at right price,
according to the Toy store their straight GIV can carry full fuel and fly 4100nm with 4801bs of people, (2.5
passengers) you trade off fuel load for passengers in non SP aircraft,. so 13 passengers in GIV converts to
3724nm range, just FYI Ny to Paris is 3200nm.
The toy stores GIV's galley, which I told you was large in my opinion, is actually the standard size in most GIV
and IVSP's so I may have been premature in stating the galley was to large,.
web link to Toy's stores GIV: http://www.controller.com/listinqsdetail/aircraft-for-sale/GULFSTREAM-
IV/GULFSTREAM-IV/1145274.htm?
The plus's in the Toy stores GIV: Fwd galley with small passenger LAV next to galley, the aft LAV is VIP,. aft
Divan with a smoked glass partition the changes from clear to smoked appearance for privacy, to separate the
bedroom from fwd passenger compartment,. the wood, leather seats and carpet are extremely nice which
are 'Pininfarina Edition" there is a third FMS included plus Direct TV $500k option which is not of much value to
us, since reception is available only over the 48 continuous states..
Gary Anzalone the Toy stores sales rep has received a quote of 1.6M ($800K each) to overhaul both engines,
if this aircraft could be bought in the 8M range with new engines. may be worth looking harder, since Bank is
pressuring Morris to dump his inventory,.
I also found this interior to be an interesting floor plan, dual facing divan aft with curtain divider,. its a black 1994
GIVSP located in London: http://www.controller.com/fistinosdetail/aircraft-for-sale/GULFSTREAM-IVSP/1994-
GULF STREAM-IVSP/1202749.htm
Helicopter: after flying the B427 in Palm Beach, I feel the Bell 429 is the best performing light twin helicopter for
LSJ ops,.
thank you,
Larry
