I'm writing at the suggestion of Julie Taymor. Julie is the Honorary Co•Chair of Theatre
for a New Audience's capital campaign for the first theatre for Shakespeare and classic
drama to be built in New York City since Lincoln Center's 1965 Vivian Beaumont. I
understand Julie spoke with you at the recent WWW Conference and you invited us to
contact you. Thank you. I would very much appreciate speaking.
As you will read, this is a $68.5 million campaign. We have raised $52.7 million to date
and are in the final stretch to raise the remaining $16 million. Attached are two PDF's —
a letter from me to you which describes the project and renderings and other materials.
These same materials were hand delivered to you yesterday. We are e•mailing
duplicate copies for your convenience.
I also wanted to share that a profile on Theatre for a New Audience made for NYC
Arts was broadcast July 5 on PBS, and Julie is in it. The link for the segment
