=20 O= n a few idea's i thought the Roxy Paine tree, particularly as it looks
like= it has been ripped from it's roots already (you don't need a
hurricane) al= so it has a very futuristic earth 2050 feel to it which i
thought was very = you. can't bare the idea of you living in tile city how
ever classic and hi= storic it might be, I away's thought of you as more
apocolyptic. =

=20 Roxy Paine is one of the most important young sculptors today. His= tree-
like mechanical sculptures, the =E2=80=9CDendroits=E2=80=9D series
to= y with assumptions about nature vs. culture and organic vs. artificial.
For Paine, the Dendroids represent an attempt t= o observe trees as a
language governed by rules and structures and reflect = his thoughts on
human encroachment on the environment
