I am having APU problems, the APU is over-speeding and shuts down, I am trouble shooting with Dallas
Airmotive (APU overhaul experts) and Meridean Maintenance in Teterboro, should have more info tomorrow
afternoon.
early synopsis: Fuel control, or Torque converter fly-weights which controls fuel scheduling to apu and RPM,. the
APU was running at 102% today which is high and has a safety switch set around 103% that shuts down APU
for protection,. normal operation RPM is 100%. Cold weather is not ruled out either,.
During our maintenance visit, we did not touch the APU.,
Dave is heading home in the morning,
- I will remain until we have a remedy for APU
- we are NOT in danger of being stuck, Albuquerque has 3 air start carts, a worse case scenario.
I will keep you posted to my findings,.
