I know you like books. In the middle of selling the first edition of Caxton's Mirrour of
the Worlde, 1481. Complete copy, and belonged to Thomas Cramner, who was Henry
IV's right hand man, burned alive at the stake. It is the first scientific book published
in England, first illustrated English book, and first English book that has a map.
Really a lovely item. This copy sold at Christies back in 1998 for over 850,000 U.S.,
and hasn't seen the light of the market since then, as it is been locked up in a private
collection. It is the only complete copy outside of an institution. Only 11 complete
copies are known, of this is one.
